Guidde records a workflow in your browser and turns it into a short how-to video with an AI voiceover and a written version. It is quick, it has a free plan, and support and customer success teams use it to fill help centers. People still look for something else: a lower bill as more people make videos, a way to work from recordings they already have, or only one of the outputs Guidde makes. This page sorts seven alternatives by the job you use Guidde for, so you can pick the one that fits.
Written by Bibin Mathew, who makes Nook. Prices checked on October 29, 2026 on each vendor's pricing page.
Short answer
The best Guidde alternative depends on the job:
- A narrated demo and a written guide from a recording you already made, priced by videos instead of creators: Nook.
- An all-in-one AI video and docs tool with a recorder, avatars and a knowledge base: Trupeer.
- Polished AI videos and help articles from rough recordings, with strong effects: Clueso.
- Written SOPs only, captured as you click: Scribe or Tango.
- Interactive click-through demos for prospects and new users: Supademo.
- Quick personal video messages: Loom.
If you make lots of short how-to videos, one or two people make them, and you are happy to record each one fresh in Guidde's extension, Guidde is still a strong fit and its Pro plan is fairly priced for that. The alternatives below make the most sense when one of those conditions is not true.
Why people look for a Guidde alternative
Guidde does a lot well. Capture is fast, the AI voiceover saves you recording your own voice, viewers are free, and you get a video and a written version from one capture. Most reasons to switch come down to pricing model, capture model, or which output you actually need.
What Guidde costs in 2026
As of October 29, 2026, the Guidde pricing page lists four plans, priced per creator. The page has a yearly toggle marked "Save 34%", and the lower figure below is the yearly rate.
| Plan | Billed monthly | Billed yearly | Who pays | What it adds |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | Per creator | Any web app, voiceovers, share links, cursor effects |
| Pro | $29/creator/month | $19/creator/month | Per creator | Unlimited videos, no watermark, brand kit, export of videos, PPTs and PDFs, blur |
| Business | $59/creator/month | $39/creator/month | Up to 5 creators, billed per creator | Desktop and mobile capture, interactive demos, documents to video, analytics |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | Custom | SSO and SCIM, translation, PII redaction, version control |
Two sections of the pricing page described the free plan differently when we checked, one as up to 25 how-to videos and one as unlimited, so confirm the free limit before you rely on it. Virtual avatars, voice cloning and premium voices are listed as add-ons. There is a 7-day Business trial.
Every creator is a seat
Viewers are free, but everyone who makes videos pays. One person on Pro yearly is $228 a year, which is reasonable. Five people who each make a few videos a month on Business yearly is $195 a month, or $2,340 a year. If video making is spread thinly across a team, you pay for a lot of seats that make one or two videos a month.
Working from an existing video is a Business feature
Guidde is built around its own recorder. Per Guidde's help center, you can upload an MP4 or WebM up to 3GB and have it split into steps or dubbed with an AI voice, but uploads are on the Business and Enterprise plans. The same article says silent videos cannot be dubbed and get no transcript or captions. If you have a folder of silent QuickTime or Zoom recordings, that matters.
Translation is on Enterprise
Guidde's voiceovers come in more than 50 languages, but picking a voiceover language does not translate your content. Translation is listed on Enterprise. If you need a Spanish and a German version of the same help video, check how you would get there on your plan.
You only needed one output
Some teams only want the written SOP. Others want a click-through demo that a prospect steps through. A tool that does one job is often simpler and cheaper for that job.

Nook
What it is. Nook turns a screen recording you already made into a narrated demo video and a step-by-step written guide. You upload an MP4, MOV or WebM up to 15 minutes from any recorder. There is no extension to install. Nook finds the steps, writes a script line for each one, and voices it. You can use an AI voice (Deepgram Aura-2 in English, native voices in 14 other languages), keep your own voice with ums and silences cut, or go captions only. It adds zooms on clicks, captions, intro and outro cards with your logo, and background music, and it blurs emails, card numbers and API keys it finds on screen.
Best for. Founders, small teams and agencies who already record in QuickTime, OBS, Zoom or Loom, and who want a narrated video and a written guide without paying per creator. It suits help center articles where some people watch and others read (see help center videos) and software tutorials (see software tutorial videos).
Price (as of October 29, 2026). From the Nook pricing page: your first video is free, up to 1 minute, watermarked and view only. Starter is $9 a month for 5 videos. Pro is $19 a month for 20 videos and adds every language, your own cloned voice, branded guides and handover kits. Business is $49 a month for 60 videos with white-label pages and priority rendering. Yearly billing gives you 2 months free, and extra videos are 5 for $9 on any plan. No plan has seats.
Strengths.
- Works from recordings you already have, including silent ones. If you did not talk, Nook reads the steps from what is on screen.
- The written guide comes with a screenshot per step and exports to PDF, Word or Markdown. More in how to turn a screen recording into a step-by-step guide.
- Language versions: translate a video into more languages, and each one becomes its own MP4 and guide. See translated demo videos.
- A share link with chapters, an embed code, and handover kits that put several videos on one page.
- Presets for app review videos for Shopify, Meta, Google OAuth and HubSpot.
Where it falls short vs Guidde. Nook does not record. You bring the file. There is no browser extension, no desktop capture, no interactive demos, no AI avatars and no shared team workspace or seats. It does not host a knowledge base, and there is no SSO. Recordings top out at 15 minutes, where Guidde can dub uploads up to 30 minutes. If you want to click through a workflow and have the video build itself as you go, Guidde is the more direct tool.
Trupeer
What it is. Trupeer records your screen through a browser extension, or takes an uploaded video, and turns it into an AI-narrated video and a document. It also has AI avatars, translation and a knowledge base add-on.
Best for. Teams who want Guidde's job plus avatars and longer recordings, in one subscription.
Price (as of October 29, 2026). From the Trupeer pricing page: Free has 1,000 AI credits a month, 5-minute recordings and a watermark. Pro is $49 a month, or $40 billed yearly, for 1 creator with 2,000 credits and 10-minute recordings. Scale is $249 a month, or $199 billed yearly, for 3 creators, 10,000 credits, 15-minute recordings and 2 translation languages. Enterprise is custom, with recordings up to 3 hours. Per the FAQ, AI video uses 100 credits a minute, translation 100 credits a minute per language, and an avatar another 50 a minute.
Strengths.
- Video upload is on the free plan, not only on a higher tier.
- AI avatars and a document editor in the same tool.
- Long recordings on Enterprise.
Where it falls short vs Guidde. Trupeer Pro costs more than Guidde Pro for one person, and usage is counted in credits, so long videos eat into your allowance. Translation starts on Scale. We wrote up the details in Trupeer alternatives and Trupeer vs Nook.
Clueso
What it is. Clueso turns screen recordings, slide decks or screenshots into polished AI videos with voiceover, zooms and captions, plus help articles from the same source.
Best for. Product marketing and documentation teams who care about visual polish and want to start from rough recordings.
Price (as of October 29, 2026). From the Clueso pricing page: Free has 10 minutes of video exports and 10 articles a month, with a watermark. Solo is $40 a month billed yearly for 1 user. Business is $120 a month billed yearly with 2 editor seats. Enterprise is custom. The page listed export limits two ways when we checked, as yearly totals on the plan cards and monthly minutes in the comparison table, so check the limits for your plan.
Strengths.
- Upload of existing videos is listed on every plan.
- A large library of AI voices on paid plans.
- Articles and video from one recording.
Where it falls short vs Guidde. Clueso's paid plans start higher than Guidde Pro, and you buy them yearly. Export time is the limit to watch. Voice cloning and SSO are on Enterprise.
Scribe
What it is. Scribe watches you click through a process and writes a step-by-step guide with screenshots. It is the best-known tool for written SOPs.
Best for. Operations, IT and support teams who need written documentation and do not need a narrated video.
Price (as of October 29, 2026). From the Scribe pricing page: Basic is free for web apps. Pro Personal is $35 per seat per month, or $25 billed yearly, with desktop capture and PDF, HTML, Markdown and Word export. Pro Team is $17 per seat per month, or $13 billed yearly, starting at 5 seats. Enterprise is custom, with PII redaction, SSO and translations.
Strengths.
- A useful free plan for web apps.
- Very fast for written guides.
- Exports to the formats docs teams use.
Where it falls short vs Guidde. Scribe is guide-first. There is no AI-narrated video like Guidde's. It captures clicks rather than working from a video file. Pro Team has a 5-seat minimum. Our Scribe alternatives page covers this category in more depth.
Tango
What it is. Tango captures a process as you click and turns it into a written guide with screenshots. It can also guide people through the steps inside the real app.
Best for. Teams who want a shared library of written workflows and in-app guidance, and who mostly need text and screenshots.
Price (as of October 29, 2026). From the Tango pricing page: Free has 5 shared workflows and up to 10 users. Pro is $30 per user per month, or $22 billed yearly, for 1 to 2 users, and $20, or $15 billed yearly, at 3 or more users. Enterprise is custom.
Strengths.
- Per-user price drops as the team grows.
- On-screen guidance on paid plans.
- PDF, Markdown and HTML export on Pro.
Where it falls short vs Guidde. Tango does not make narrated how-to videos. Pro adds video embeds and voice transcription, but not an AI voiceover video. The free plan's 5 workflows is tight for real use.
Supademo
What it is. Supademo builds interactive demos: click-through walkthroughs that a viewer steps through at their own pace. You can share them as a link, embed, video or PDF.
Best for. Sales, marketing and customer success teams who want prospects or new users to try the flow themselves.
Price (as of October 29, 2026). From the Supademo pricing page: Free is 1 creator and 5 interactive demos. Scale is $50 per creator per month, or $38 billed yearly, with branching and analytics. Business is $249 a month, or $199 billed yearly. Growth is $450 a month, or $350 billed yearly, with 5 creators bundled. Enterprise is custom.
Strengths.
- Interactive demos are its core job, not an add-on.
- Unlimited external views on every plan.
- Analytics on who clicked through.
Where it falls short vs Guidde. Supademo is not built for internal SOPs, and its paid plans cost more per creator than Guidde Pro. Guidde Business also includes interactive demos, so if you need both how-to videos and click-throughs, Guidde may already cover you.
Loom
What it is. Loom records your screen and camera and gives you a link to share. Viewers watch and comment.
Best for. Quick, personal explanations where your face and voice matter more than polish.
Price (as of October 29, 2026). From the Loom pricing page: Starter is free with 25 videos per person and 5-minute recordings. Business is $18 per user per month. Business + AI is $24 per user per month and adds AI titles, summaries, chapters, and filler word and silence removal. Enterprise is custom. The page says annual billing saves up to 17% but does not show the annual price.
Strengths.
- The fastest way to record and share.
- Familiar to nearly everyone.
Where it falls short vs Guidde. Loom keeps you as you recorded. There is no AI voiceover and no step-by-step written guide with screenshots. If you already have Loom recordings of your processes, you can download them and run them through Nook to get a narrated video and a guide. Our Loom alternatives page has more options.
How to choose
Start from the job, not the feature list.
- Do you already have recordings? If yes, Nook works from any file on every plan, including silent recordings. Trupeer and Clueso also take uploads. In Guidde, upload is on Business.
- Do you want to capture fresh each time? Guidde, Trupeer, Scribe and Tango all have their own capture. Guidde and Trupeer give you a narrated video. Scribe and Tango give you a written guide.
- Is the written guide the main output? Scribe or Tango is simpler. If you want both a video and a guide, Nook, Guidde, Trupeer and Clueso make both.
- Do prospects need to click through it? Supademo, or Guidde Business.
- Do you need an on-screen presenter? Trupeer has avatars, and Guidde lists virtual avatars as an add-on. Nook, Scribe and Tango do not. For avatar-first video, see Synthesia alternatives.
- Is it a quick message? Use Loom.
Compare pricing models, not just prices
- Per creator or per seat (Guidde, Scribe, Tango, Supademo, Loom) is predictable for one or two people and multiplies as more people make videos.
- Credits or export hours (Trupeer, Clueso) scale with video length.
- Videos per month (Nook) costs the same no matter who on the team makes the video or how long it is, up to 15 minutes.
Here is an example. A team of four, each making two help videos a month, is 8 videos a month. On Guidde Pro yearly that is four creators at $19, or $76 a month. On Nook Pro it is $19 a month for up to 20 videos, whoever makes them. One person making 30 short videos a month pays $19 on Guidde Pro yearly and $49 on Nook Business, so Guidde is cheaper there. Run your own numbers. We explain our side of it in pricing by videos, not seats.
Run one real workflow through two tools
Take one real process, two or three minutes long, and run it through your top two picks. Judge how close the first script is to usable, how long fixes take, whether it works on mute, and whether the export fits where the content will live. Our demo video best practices has a checklist.
Moving your content out of Guidde
Export the videos and PDFs you want to keep before you cancel. Export is listed on Pro and above. If you kept raw recordings, those are often the most useful thing to bring, since a tool like Nook can re-narrate them and rebuild the guide.
FAQ
What is the best Guidde alternative?
It depends on the job. For a narrated video and guide from recordings you already have, without per-creator pricing, use Nook. For an all-in-one tool with avatars, use Trupeer. For polished AI videos from rough recordings, use Clueso. For written SOPs, use Scribe or Tango. For interactive demos, use Supademo.
Is there a cheaper alternative to Guidde?
For teams, often yes. Nook Starter is $9 a month for 5 videos and Pro is $19 a month for 20 videos, with no seats. Tango is $15 per user per month billed yearly at 3 or more users, for written guides. For one person making many videos, Guidde Pro at $19 per creator per month billed yearly is already good value.
Can Guidde make a video from a recording I already have?
Yes, on the Business and Enterprise plans. Per Guidde's help center, you can upload an MP4 or WebM up to 3GB, but silent videos cannot be dubbed with an AI voice. Nook takes MP4, MOV or WebM up to 15 minutes on every plan, including silent recordings.
Guidde vs Scribe: which should I use?
Use Guidde if you want a narrated how-to video plus a written version. Use Scribe if you only need a written SOP with screenshots. Both capture as you work and both have free plans.
Does any Guidde alternative translate videos?
Nook makes language versions: each translation is its own MP4 and guide, with every language on the Pro plan. Trupeer includes 2 languages on Scale. Clueso lists translation on all plans. In Guidde, translation is on Enterprise.
Are there Guidde alternatives without per-seat pricing?
Nook charges by videos a month, with no seats on any plan. Trupeer and Clueso bundle a set number of creators into each plan. Scribe, Tango, Supademo and Loom charge per seat, user or creator.
Are these prices current?
We checked each one on the vendor's official pricing page on October 29, 2026 and linked the source. Vendors change plans often, so confirm before you buy.
