Using Nook

• You need to be at least 13 to use Nook (see our Privacy Policy for more).
• Keep your account secure. You're responsible for what happens on it.
• Nook is free right now. We may add paid features later, and we'll tell you before anything changes.

Your content

You own the cards, courses, images and text you publish. By publishing, you give Nook a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, copy (for example, resize images) and share your content as part of running and promoting Nook, including link previews and search results. This licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies people have saved to their libraries.

Only publish content you created or have permission to use. When you link someone else's video, credit it honestly: Nook shows who posted the original.

Not allowed

• Content that copies someone else's work without permission, or impersonates another person or brand.
• Anything illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or dangerous (including unsafe advice).
• Spam, scams, misleading offers, fake discount codes, or links to malware or phishing.
• Trying to break, overload or misuse Nook, or scraping it in bulk.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

Creators: links, sponsorships and email lists

• Disclose sponsorships and affiliate links using Nook's disclosure settings. Advertising rules (like the FTC in the US and ASCI in India) require it.
• Make sure discount codes and product details are accurate, and follow your affiliate programs' rules.
• People who join your email list agreed to hear from you. Only email them about related content, follow anti-spam laws, and honour unsubscribe requests.

Copyright and takedowns

If you believe content on Nook infringes your copyright, email hello@usenook.live with: the Nook link, what work you own, how to contact you, and a statement that you're the owner (or authorised to act for them) and that the information is accurate. We'll review it and remove infringing content. Accounts that repeatedly infringe are removed. You can also use "Report this card" at the bottom of any card.

Other websites and videos

Cards link to videos, shops and other sites we don't control. Your use of them is governed by their terms. Purchases you make through links are between you and the seller.

Closing your account

You can delete your account anytime from Studio → edit profile. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

No guarantees

Nook is provided "as is". Cards are written by creators, not by Nook: use recipes, workouts, repairs and other advice with care and your own judgement. To the extent the law allows, Nook isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for content and websites that others provide.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll update the date above and let you know. Using Nook after a change means you accept the new terms.
