Privacy Policy
Nook (usenook.live) lets creators turn videos into cards and lets anyone save them. This page explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We don't sell your personal data, and we don't use advertising cookies.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address and name. If you sign in with Google, we also receive your profile photo.
- Profile details you add: your handle, display name, bio, photo, social accounts, links, announcement, affiliate tags and business email.
- Content you publish: cards, courses, images, video links, product links and discount codes. Published content is public.
- Your activity: cards you save, creators and courses you follow, lessons you complete, and when you last opened a saved card (so the weekly email can remind you).
- Email sign-ups: if you submit a creator's sign-up form, we store your email, name (if given) and the time you agreed to hear from them.
- Usage stats: counts of page views, link clicks, code copies and saves, with the link or campaign they came from and your country (from your network). These are counted, not tied to your name, and are shown to creators only as totals.
- Technical data: IP address and browser information, used briefly for security, rate limiting and fixing errors.
Cookies
We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising or third-party analytics cookies. Videos from YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and others only load when you tap play; after that, that platform's own privacy policy applies.
How we use it
- To run Nook: sign you in, show your library, publish your cards and courses.
- To email you sign-in links, and a weekly email about your saved cards (you can turn it off anytime).
- To show creators how their cards perform, as totals.
- To keep Nook safe: prevent spam and abuse, and investigate reports.
Who we share it with
- Creators: when you submit a creator's email sign-up form, your email and name are shared with that creator, who may email you. Their own privacy practices then apply.
- Service providers who help us run Nook: Cloudflare (hosting, storage and email delivery) and Google (only if you sign in with Google).
- When required by law, or to protect people and Nook from harm.
Shop and affiliate links on cards take you to other websites. The creator may earn a commission; those sites have their own policies.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account we remove your account, profile, cards, courses, saves, follows and progress. People who saved your cards keep a private copy in their library. Email sign-up lists that creators have already downloaded are held by those creators. Technical logs are kept only briefly.
Your choices and rights
- Delete your account anytime from Studio → edit profile → Delete my account.
- Stop the weekly email from the link in any email or the switch in your library.
- Access, correct or export your data, or ask a question about it, by emailing hello@usenook.live.
Children
Nook isn't for children under 13. If you're under the age of majority where you live, use Nook only with a parent's or guardian's permission.
Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know by email.
