Supademo Alternatives in 2026: 7 Tools Compared by Job

Seven Supademo alternatives sorted by the job you need done, from interactive demos and HTML capture to how-to videos and narrated guides. Prices checked October 2026.

Supademo builds interactive demos: click-through copies of your product that a prospect or new user steps through at their own pace. It has a free plan, a fast Chrome extension and a lot of features for sales and customer teams. People still look elsewhere, usually because of per-creator pricing, because they need HTML capture with deeper editing, or because what they actually needed was a narrated video and a written guide, not a clickable tour. This page sorts seven alternatives by the job you need done.

Written by Bibin Mathew, who makes Nook. Prices checked on October 29, 2026 on each vendor's pricing page.

We make one of the tools on this list, Nook. Nook does not make interactive click-through demos. If that is what you need, the first four tools below are the real alternatives, and we say so in each section.

Short answer

The best Supademo alternative depends on what you use Supademo for:

  • Interactive demos with a cheaper team seat and AI video on the side: Arcade.
  • Interactive demos that grow into HTML capture, CRM data and a demo center: Storylane.
  • HTML demos for a larger marketing and sales team: Navattic.
  • HTML demos with unlimited users on one flat price: HowdyGo.
  • Short how-to videos with AI narration plus a written version: Guidde.
  • Quick personal video walkthroughs: Loom.
  • A narrated demo video and a written step-by-step guide from a recording you already have: Nook.

If your main need is an interactive demo for your website or sales emails and you are a small team, Supademo itself is still a strong, fairly priced choice. Its free plan gives you 5 demos with unlimited views, which is more than most rivals give for free.

Why people look for a Supademo alternative

Supademo does a lot well. Demos can be captured as screenshots or as an editable HTML clone. You can add hotspots, tooltips, voiceover and branching. Demos share as a link or embed, and its site says they also export as GIF, MP4 and PDF. It has a Chrome extension, Mac and Windows desktop apps, and integrations with HubSpot, Salesforce, Slack, Marketo and Zapier. If you use most of that, it is hard to beat for the price.

What Supademo costs in 2026

As of October 29, 2026, the Supademo pricing page lists:

PlanBilled monthlyBilled yearlyCreatorsDemos
Free$0$015
Scale$50/creator/month$38/creator/monthBilled per creatorUnlimited
Business$249/month$199/month1 included, more at $50/month eachUnlimited
Growth$450/month$350/month5 included, more at $50/month eachUnlimited
EnterpriseCustomCustomFrom 10 creatorsUnlimited

Views are unlimited on every plan, and viewers are free. Branching and tracking links with analytics start on Scale. AI voice cloning is listed on Growth. SSO and SAML are on Enterprise.

The common reasons to switch

  • Per-creator pricing adds up. Anyone with a Creator or Admin role is billed as a seat. Three people on Scale yearly is $114 a month. That is fair for a sales team, but heavy for a founder and two helpers who make a demo now and then.
  • The free plan caps at 5 demos. That is generous for a test, tight for real use across a product.
  • The jump to Business is big. Business starts at $199 a month billed yearly with one creator. Teams that want what sits on Business and Growth often compare HTML-first tools at this point.
  • You needed a video, not a tour. Some viewers will not click. A support article, a client handover, an app store reviewer or a social post often works better as a short narrated video with captions, plus a written guide for people who prefer to read.
  • You already have recordings. Supademo's AI can turn a Loom or screen recording into a clickable demo. If you want those recordings turned into a narrated video and a document instead, that is a different job.

Arcade

What it is. Arcade makes interactive demos and, more and more, AI product videos. Its homepage now leads with an AI video generator for marketing teams, and it sells interactive demos as a separate product with its own plans. Its Chrome extension records your screen and camera with automatic zooms and cursor effects.

Best for. Marketing teams who want interactive demos on the website and also want polished product videos from the same vendor.

Price (as of October 29, 2026). From the Arcade interactive demo pricing page: Free is $0 for 1 user and 1 published demo, with AI voiceover and an Arcade watermark. Growth is $50 per seat per month, or $42.50 on yearly billing, for up to 10 users, with unlimited published demos, MP4 and GIF export, branching, AI translations and branding removal. Enterprise is custom and adds a native Salesforce integration and SSO. The Arcade AI video pricing page is separate: Pro is $59 a month or $49 a month billed yearly for 1,000 credits a month and videos up to 5 minutes. The two subscriptions do not include each other.

Strengths.

  • A slightly lower per-seat price than Supademo Scale on monthly billing.
  • MP4 and GIF export from demos on Growth.
  • A strong AI video product for marketing if you want both.

Where it falls short vs Supademo. The free plan gives you 1 published demo, where Supademo gives 5. Yearly, Arcade Growth is a little more per seat than Supademo Scale. Interactive demos and AI video are two bills, not one. We have a fuller look at it in Arcade alternatives.

Storylane

What it is. Storylane builds interactive demos from screenshots, video or a full HTML capture of your app. It leans into go-to-market features: lead capture, account reveal, CRM integrations and AI credits for voiceovers.

Best for. Sales and marketing teams that start small but expect to need HTML demos, HubSpot or Salesforce data and demo analytics later.

Price (as of October 29, 2026). From the Storylane pricing page, which has a monthly and yearly toggle marked "Yearly -20%": Free is $0 with 1 seat and 1 published demo. Starter is $50 a month, or $40 billed yearly, for 1 seat (extra seats $40), with unlimited demos, custom branding and HubSpot and Zapier integrations. Growth is $625 a month, or $500 billed yearly, for 5 seats, and adds HTML demos. Premium is $1,500 a month, or $1,200 billed yearly, for 10 seats, with Salesforce and SSO. Enterprise is custom.

Strengths.

  • Screenshot, video and HTML demos in one tool.
  • AI voiceovers included in AI credits on every plan.
  • A clear upgrade path into CRM and account data.

Where it falls short vs Supademo. HTML capture starts on Growth, which is a large step up from Starter. The free plan is 1 published demo. For a single creator who only needs screenshot demos, Supademo's free and Scale plans are cheaper.

What it is. Navattic is an HTML-first interactive demo platform. It captures the front end of your app so viewers click through a working copy, and it adds AI help, playbooks, account identification and A/B testing on paid plans.

Best for. Mid-size and larger marketing and sales teams who want HTML demos across the website, sales emails and events, with integrations into their CRM and marketing tools.

Price (as of October 29, 2026). The Navattic pricing page lists Starter as free for 1 seat and 1 demo, HTML or media. Base (5 seats) and Growth (10 seats) are billed annually but show no dollar amount, and Enterprise is custom. There is also a startup plan for bootstrapped and seed-stage teams of 30 or fewer, on request. We could not see a public price for any paid plan, so we have left it out.

Strengths.

  • Unlimited HTML demos on every paid plan.
  • Integrations with Salesforce, Marketo and, per the page, 25 or more other tools on Base.
  • AI voiceovers and AI avatar minutes on paid plans.

Where it falls short vs Supademo. You have to talk to sales to get a price, and paid plans are annual. It is built for teams, so it is more than a founder making a few demos needs.

HowdyGo

What it is. HowdyGo makes HTML interactive demos. You can edit text and images in the captured interface, blur or hide elements, and export demos as GIF, WebM or MP4. Higher plans add live sandbox demos.

Best for. Teams that want HTML demos and do not want to pay per seat, because every plan includes unlimited users.

Price (as of October 29, 2026). From the HowdyGo pricing page: Starter is $159 a month with unlimited users and unlimited HTML demos. Pro is $399 a month and adds demo analytics, CRM integrations, automatic lead sending and a custom domain. Enterprise is custom and adds SAML and SCIM SSO. The page says yearly billing saves 20% but does not show the yearly amount. There is a 14-day free trial.

Strengths.

  • Unlimited users on every plan.
  • HTML capture with in-place editing and blur on the entry plan.
  • Video and GIF exports from demos.

Where it falls short vs Supademo. There is no free plan, and the entry price is far above Supademo Scale for one or two creators. Analytics beyond Google Analytics and CRM integrations start on Pro.

Guidde

What it is. Guidde records a workflow with a browser extension or desktop app and generates a how-to video with AI narration and a written version. Its Business plan also includes interactive demos.

Best for. Support, customer success and training teams who mostly want short narrated how-to videos, with an interactive version now and then.

Price (as of October 29, 2026). From the Guidde pricing page: Free is $0 for up to 25 how-to videos in web apps. Pro is $29 per creator per month, or $19 billed yearly, with unlimited videos, watermark removal and export to video, PPT and PDF. Business is $59 per creator per month, or $39 billed yearly, and adds desktop capture, interactive demos, analytics and up to 5 creators. Enterprise is custom.

Strengths.

  • Video, written steps and, on Business, interactive demos from one capture.
  • AI voices, with the page listing 50+ languages for AI audio.
  • A free plan with up to 25 videos.

Where it falls short vs Supademo. Guidde is video-first. Its interactive demos sit on the Business plan, and sales features like branching and CRM routing are where Supademo is stronger. Pricing is per creator.

Loom

What it is. Loom records your screen and camera and gives you a link to share. Viewers watch and comment.

Best for. Quick, personal walkthroughs for one prospect or customer, where your face and voice matter more than polish.

Price (as of October 29, 2026). From the Loom pricing page: Starter is free with up to 25 videos per person and 5 minutes per video. Business is $18 per user per month with unlimited videos and length. Business + AI is $24 per user per month and adds AI titles, summaries, chapters and filler word and silence removal. Enterprise is custom. The page says annual billing saves up to 17% but did not show the annual price.

Strengths.

  • The fastest way to record and send a walkthrough.
  • Familiar to almost everyone.
  • Good for one-to-one sales follow-ups.

Where it falls short vs Supademo. A Loom is a recording, not an interactive demo. Viewers cannot click through it, and there is no branching or step-by-step guide. If you have Loom recordings of your product, you can download them and run them through Nook to get a narrated video and a written guide.

Nook

What it is. Nook turns a screen recording you already made into a narrated demo video and a step-by-step written guide. You upload an MP4, MOV or WebM up to 15 minutes from any recorder. There is no extension to install. Nook finds the steps, writes a script line for each, and voices it with an AI voice, or keeps your own voice with ums and silences cut, or uses captions only. It adds zooms on clicks, captions, intro and outro cards with your logo and background music, and blurs emails, card numbers and API keys it finds. The guide exports to PDF, Word and Markdown with a screenshot per step.

Best for. Teams who looked at Supademo but realized a narrated video plus a written guide fits the job better. That includes help center articles (see help center videos), customer onboarding, client handovers, app review screencasts for Shopify, Meta, Google OAuth and HubSpot, and product demos for a landing page or social post where people watch rather than click.

Price (as of October 29, 2026). From the Nook pricing page: your first video is free, up to 1 minute, watermarked and view only. Starter is $9 a month for 5 videos. Pro is $19 a month for 20 videos, with every language, your own cloned voice, branded guides and handover kits. Business is $49 a month for 60 videos, with white-label pages and priority rendering. Yearly billing gives 2 months free, extra videos are 5 for $9, and no plan charges per seat.

Strengths.

  • A finished video and a written guide from one upload, with a share link with chapters and an embed code.
  • Works with any recording you already have, from QuickTime, OBS, Zoom or a Loom download.
  • Language versions: translate a video into more languages, each its own MP4 and guide, with native voices in 14 languages besides English. See translated demo videos.
  • Handover kits put several videos on one page for a client or customer.

Where Nook does not fit. Nook does not make interactive click-through demos. Viewers watch, they do not click. There is no branching, no hotspots, no lead capture form and no CRM routing. Nook has no recorder or extension of its own, no team seats or workspace, and no SSO. If your goal is a self-serve product tour on your website, use Supademo or one of the four demo tools above.

How to choose

Start from what the viewer should do.

  1. Should the viewer click through the product themselves? Stay on Supademo, or pick Arcade, Storylane, Navattic or HowdyGo. This is the core of the category, and Nook, Loom and most of Guidde are not built for it.
  2. Do you need a working HTML copy of your app? Supademo offers HTML capture. Storylane has it from Growth, Navattic on every paid plan and HowdyGo on Starter.
  3. Should the viewer watch and listen instead? A narrated video is easier on a phone, in an app store review, in a social feed, or for someone who will not click. Guidde and Nook both produce a narrated video and a written guide. Nook works from a recording you already have. Guidde captures with its own extension.
  4. Is it a personal message to one person? Use Loom.
  5. How many people create? Per-seat pricing (Supademo Scale, Arcade, Storylane Starter, Guidde, Loom) is cheap for one creator and grows with the team. HowdyGo has unlimited users at a higher flat price. Nook charges by videos a month, no matter who makes them. We wrote about that choice in pricing by videos, not seats.

Many teams use both

An interactive demo and a narrated video do different jobs. A common setup is an interactive tour on the pricing page for people who want to explore, and a short narrated video on the homepage, in onboarding emails and in the help center for people who would rather watch. If you go that way, keep the two in step: the same flow, the same names, the same order. Our demo video script guide and demo video best practices help with the video side.

Run one real flow through two tools

Take one real workflow, about two minutes long, and build it in your top two choices. Judge how long the first version takes, how much you have to fix, how it looks on a phone, and where you can share it. That will tell you more than any feature table.

FAQ

What is the best Supademo alternative?

For interactive demos, Arcade is the closest like-for-like switch, Storylane suits teams that will grow into HTML and CRM features, and HowdyGo suits teams that want unlimited users. If you need a narrated video and a written guide instead of a click-through tour, Nook or Guidde fit better.

Is there a free Supademo alternative?

Arcade, Storylane and Navattic each have a free plan with 1 published demo. Guidde's free plan covers up to 25 how-to videos, and Loom's covers 25 videos per person. Supademo's own free plan, with 5 demos, is one of the more generous ones.

Supademo vs Arcade: which is better?

Both make interactive demos. Supademo has a bigger free plan and a lower yearly per-creator price on Scale. Arcade Growth is $50 per seat monthly or $42.50 yearly, includes MP4 and GIF export and AI translations, and Arcade also sells a separate AI video product for marketing.

Does Nook make interactive demos like Supademo?

No. Nook makes narrated demo videos and written step-by-step guides from a screen recording. Viewers watch the video or read the guide. If you need viewers to click through your product, use an interactive demo tool.

Which Supademo alternative has no per-seat pricing?

HowdyGo includes unlimited users on every plan. Nook charges by the number of videos a month, with no seats. Supademo Business and Growth bundle creators, then charge $50 a month for each extra one.

Can I turn an existing screen recording into a demo?

Supademo's AI can turn a Loom or screen recording into a clickable demo. If you want a narrated video and a step-by-step guide from that recording instead, Nook takes any MP4, MOV or WebM up to 15 minutes.

Are these prices current?

We checked each one on the vendor's official pricing page on October 29, 2026 and linked the source. Vendors change plans often, so confirm before you buy.
